In the Maya Q'qnjobal dialect waykan means "star that shines in the sky at night." Guatemala Waykan lots come from many small farmers who's farms are perched on the side of the rugged terrain typical of Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

Guatemala Waykan is one of our most anticipated coffees every year. We look forward to having it to drink at the roastery, our wholesale partners are eager to serve it to their customers, and home coffee drinkers like you regularly e-mail asking when it will be in stock.

Good news! Waykan 2020 is here and it is as delicious as ever this year. And that's saying a lot, because back in 2016, Coffee Review awarded our Waykan a score of 93 points, calling it

"A classically sweet, citrusy cup with quietly intricate complications, particularly incense-toned herb and floral notes."

And we think this year's crop might be even better.

Additionally, we're excited to let you know that we've heard your feedback, and this year we are offering two different roasts of the Guatemala Waykan - as a light roast and medium roast. The same coffee, roasted with two different profiles. Try the one that matches your taste preference, or try them both side by side and taste how the roast profile affects the coffee.

Would you like to try Waykan as a dark roast as well? Reply and let us know!
